Description

Engineered for Sanitary Product Storage & Holding

Xentegrity storage tanks are available in several configurations depending on how the product needs to be stored, maintained, and transferred.

Single-Layer Storage Tanks
Single-layer tanks provide a straightforward and economical solution when the product does not require heating, cooling, or significant temperature control. With no jacket or insulation surrounding the vessel, they offer a simpler design, lower cost, easier maintenance, and smaller overall footprint.

They are ideal for products that can safely remain at ambient temperature, including water, oils, liquid ingredients, cleaning solutions, syrups, certain beverages, and other stable liquid products.

Double-Layer / Insulated Storage Tanks
Double-layer tanks incorporate an additional exterior layer that can be used to provide insulation around the product vessel. This configuration helps reduce heat transfer between the product and surrounding environment, allowing the product to maintain its temperature for a longer period of time.

These tanks are well suited for temperature-sensitive ingredients, food and beverage products, cosmetics, creams, emulsions, and products that should remain warm or cool while awaiting the next processing stage.

Mobile Storage Tanks
Mobile storage tanks can be mounted on sanitary stainless-steel frames with heavy-duty casters, allowing operators to move product between processing areas without transferring it into another vessel.

Mobile tanks are particularly useful for smaller batch production, staging ingredients, transporting intermediate products between processes, feeding filling equipment, and facilities that manufacture multiple products using shared processing equipment.

Depending on the application, mobile tanks can be manufactured as single-layer, insulated, jacketed, or agitated vessels.

Pressure Storage Tanks
For applications requiring operation above atmospheric pressure, Xentegrity can provide properly engineered pressure-rated vessel configurations based on the required operating conditions.

Pressure vessels require additional engineering considerations including design pressure and temperature, materials, wall thickness, fittings, relief devices, applicable codes, and required documentation. The appropriate configuration is determined on a project-by-project basis.

These vessels may be used in applications where pressure is required for product transfer, process control, gas blanketing, or another defined process requirement.

Heated Storage Tanks
Heated storage tanks are designed for products that must remain above a certain temperature to maintain their viscosity, flow characteristics, stability, or processability.

Depending on the application, tanks can be configured with a heating jacket, insulation, temperature sensors, and temperature controls to maintain the desired product temperature.

Heated storage tanks are particularly useful for products such as waxes, oils, syrups, certain creams and cosmetic formulations, sauces, fats, and other materials that become difficult to pump or process as their temperature decreases.

Optional Agitation

Storage tanks can also be equipped with a top-mounted agitation system when the stored product requires continued circulation.

Agitation can help prevent ingredient separation, settling, temperature stratification, or inconsistencies in product concentration while the batch is being held before the next processing stage.

Agitator type, motor size, speed, and configuration are selected according to the customer’s product and viscosity.

Engineered to Your Process

At Xentegrity, storage tanks are configured around the customer’s application rather than a one-size-fits-all design.

Systems can be manufactured in 304 or 316L stainless steel and configured with features such as sanitary tri-clamp fittings, bottom outlets, sanitary valves, hinged covers or manways, insulation, heating or cooling jackets, agitation, temperature controls, level indication, CIP capability, mobile frames, and application-specific instrumentation.

Tank capacity and configuration can be selected around the customer’s product, viscosity, batch size, storage time, operating temperature, cleaning requirements, mobility requirements, and downstream process.
